Guyanese passport holders now eligible for Saudi tourist eVisa
The official Saudi portal lists Guyana among eligible nationalities; Guyana also says its citizens can obtain visas on arrival.
GEORGETOWN — Guyanese passport holders are now listed as eligible to apply for Saudi Arabia's tourist eVisa through the kingdom's official online visa portal.
Guyana appears among the eligible nationalities on the official Saudi eVisa system, allowing holders of Guyanese passports to use the online application route.
The tourist eVisa is valid for one year with multiple entries and allows stays of up to 90 days. It can be used for tourism, family and relative visits, leisure and Umrah, but not Hajj or study. Applicants must hold a passport with at least six months remaining from their date of entry. Approval of an eVisa also does not itself guarantee admission at the Saudi border.
Guyana's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Oct. 3, 2026 that Guyanese citizens can also obtain a visa on arrival without first holding a valid US, UK or Schengen visa. That visa-on-arrival provision remains attributed to the Guyanese government announcement.
The change does not amount to visa-free travel: Guyanese travellers still require an appropriate Saudi visa and must satisfy applicable entry requirements.
